We're looking for an experienced and vigilant cybersecurity specialist who can proactively prevent breaches of all sizes, recognise when they occur, and take immediate remedial action. In this role, you'll help keep cybercrime at bay by monitoring our data at all points of contact, detecting malware and ransomware events, and recommending solutions for any vulnerabilities. Our ideal candidate understands cybersecurity standards and certifications, has extensive knowledge of how cybercriminals operate, and is determined not to let them in.

• Collect information on current security measures for risk analysis and write regular system-status reports.

• Continuously monitor for attacks and implement appropriate defensive protocols if breaches occur.  

• Conduct vulnerability testing to identify weaknesses and collaborate with the cybersecurity team to update defensive protocols as needed.

• With a security-first mindset, configure anti-virus systems, firewalls, data centres, and software updates.

• Authorized users are granted credentials, access-related activities are monitored, and unregistered information changes are checked.

• Assist in the coordination of employee training against phishing and other forms of cyberattack.

• 3-5 years of cybersecurity experience in a mid- to large-sized business for [industry]

• IT expertise, including hardware, software, and networks

• A meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are required.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, logic, and forensics abilities are required.

• Capability to work effectively in both individual and group settings

• To stay one step ahead, you must be able to think like a hacker.

• A bachelor's degree in information systems, information technology, or a related field is required.
